Shop Panthenol 10% Solution →

INCI: Water (Aqua), Panthenol, Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Sorbic Acid / CAS #:

A pre-dissolved panthenol solution used to support hydration and conditioning in cosmetic formulations.

Key benefits

  • Supports barrier function and skin conditioning
  • Improves hydration and moisture retention
  • Enhances formulation feel and softness
  • Compatible across skin and hair formulations

Behaviour in formulations

Panthenol functions as a humectant and conditioning agent, contributing to improved
hydration and a smoother skin feel.

It integrates easily into water-based systems and does not significantly affect viscosity at typical use levels.

Add to the water phase with mixing until uniform. Suitable for cold-process and heated systems.

Use level considerations

Use Rate (Min): 1.0
Use Rate (Max): 50.0

  • Serums: 5–20%
  • Mists: 2–10%
  • Creams: 3–10%
  • Hair care: 1–5%

Starter Use Rate: 5-20%

Panthenol 10% Solution is used based on dilution into the final formulation.

At typical use levels (5–20%), it delivers approximately 0.5–2% active panthenol:

  •  5% → ~0.5% active
  • 10% → ~1% active
  • 20% → ~2% active

Higher levels increase conditioning and humectant effects without significantly impacting viscosity.

Formulation summary

This solution is designed to be added directly to the water phase of formulations.

It provides a controlled and consistent way to incorporate panthenol without handling viscous raw materials. It works well in hydration and conditioning systems.

Quality notes

Prepared using high-purity D-panthenol and adjusted for assay to ensure a true 10%
active solution.

Designed to provide consistent performance and eliminate variability associated with handling viscous raw materials.
