Panthenol contributes a smooth, conditioned feel and can enhance formulation softness. At higher levels, it may slightly increase viscosity and leave a light film. Sensory outcome is formulation-dependent; bench testing is recommended.

Hydrating serum

• Panthenol: 2–5%
• Humectants (e.g. glycerin, propanediol): 3–6%
• Actives as required
• Preserved aqueous base to 100%

Lotion or cream (emulsion)

• Panthenol: 1–3% (water phase)
• Emollients and emulsifier system as required
• Preserved to finished formula

Hair care system

• Panthenol: 1–3%

Supports conditioning and formulation performance

• Too sticky / heavy feel → reduce level or balance with lighter humectants
• Viscosity increase → adjust thickener system
