Beta-glucan contributes a soft, hydrated skin feel and can slightly increase viscosity. At higher levels,
it may create a light film. Sensory outcome is formulation-dependent; bench testing is recommended.

Hydrating serum

• Beta-glucan: 0.2–0.5%
• Humectants: 3–6%
• Actives as required
• Preserved aqueous base

Supports hydration and barrier-focused systems.

 Lotion or cream

• Beta-glucan: 0.1–0.3%
• Emollients and emulsifier system
• Preserved to finished formula

 Enhances formulation performance and feel.

• Clumping during mixing → pre-disperse slowly into water with agitation.
• Incomplete hydration → allow time for full hydration or adjust mixing
• Too thick / gelled system → reduce level or adjust rheology system

• Store in a cool, dry place, protected from heat, moisture, and direct light.
• Keep container tightly sealed when not in use.
• Shelf life: 2 years when properly stored

• Low irritation potential.
• Suitable for leave-on and rinse-off systems within recommended levels.
• Beta-Glucan is considered non-hazardous when handled according to good industrial practice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Avoid inhalation of dust. Use appropriate PPE during handling and formulation.
